How It All Ends
I recently spent a lot of time watching some videos on Youtube that managed to frame the debate about Global Warming (or as the author calls it, "Anthropogenic Global Climate Destabilization") It started out with me watching his first video called "The Most Terrifying Video You'll Ever See" and the follow up "Patching Holes" videos. Jump
He got millions of hits and criticized a lot by those who didn't share his views. He believed that while people fight about whether or not climate change is occurring we must recognize that there will always be some uncertainty in science and that we should instead look at the issue from a 'Risk Management' perspective. We could then decide what has the highest risk and avoid that scenario. It made sense but he had some holes in his argument and after reading and responding to thousands of comments on his video he created the "How It All Ends" project.
It is now a series of 15 videos that are posted on Youtube which poses his initial argument, then explains in detail how he arrived at his conclusions, then refutes common and even not-so-common critiques or counter-arguments. Oh and he wears silly hats.
Regardless of your feelings about Global Climate Change I think the first video is worthy of a viewing. Just don't dismiss him out of hand if you aren't interested in the expansion pack. Chances are good that if you have an objection he addresses it in a later video. This guy did a lot of research for these videos. He provides an Index and Menu video which layout the order of the videos and their basic themes. Feel free to use the playlist I created. It will display them all in sequential order.
